Celebrity height list

All 159 people in the dataset, with the figure, how it was obtained and a link to the source. Heights marked ≈ are estimates.

159 celebrities and athletes, listed A to Z.

Where the heights come from

Every record names its source and links to it. Where a league, team or tour publishes an official profile (NBA, WNBA, MLB, UEFA, WTA or a team roster), we use the height listed there. The tallest and shortest people on record come from Guinness World Records. Everyone else, including most actors, is taken from the height given on their Wikipedia page, which in turn cites interviews, agencies or press material.

We do not average sources or adjust figures. When sources disagree, the record’s note says which one was used. The table’s Source column links to the page each figure was taken from, and each person in the comparison tool shows the same source on their card. A figure that is only approximate is marked ≈.

Why reported heights differ between sources

  • Shoes. A height “in shoes” can be 2 to 3 cm more than the same person barefoot, and a listed height does not always say which it is. Victor Wembanyama is listed at 224 cm by the NBA, but was recorded at about 222 cm barefoot at the 2023 draft combine.
  • Rounding and billing. Listed heights are often rounded to a whole inch, and professional wrestling bills heights for show, so a figure can be generous.
  • Time of day and posture. People are about 1 cm taller in the morning than in the evening, and it matters how they stand.
  • Age. Heights fall slightly in later life, and young athletes may still be growing when a figure is published.
  • Conversions. 5′ 11″ is 180.3 cm, but it is often written as 180 cm. Both are shown in the list, and the tool uses the figure in the source.

As a rule, treat differences of a centimetre or two between two people as within the noise.

What official, measured and reported mean

  • Official: the height a league, team roster or the person’s official profile lists. It is the organisation’s figure, not an independent measurement.
  • Measured: a documented measurement, for example one taken and certified for a world record.
  • Reported: a figure from a secondary source, mostly the height on a Wikipedia page, that we could not trace to a measurement. It may be self-reported, rounded or a billed height, as in professional wrestling.

None of these is a guarantee. Use the label to judge how much weight a figure deserves, and follow the source link if it matters.
